The fight has always been political.

The fight that you see today is what has been going on from the beginning. The retention of power supersedes the good of the country in many cases. All of the items I mentioned before were as partisan then as they are today. It would be great if the Republicans and Democrats could work together for the good of everyone put they want to get reelected and retain the power.

  1. I understand the whole retaining power idea. I would like to say....not that this figure is correct, but probably 80 percent of voters always vote for their party. In the years that I've voted, I've always voted democrat...I didn't like Bush back in 2000, I voted for I think it was Gore back then...and then I voted for Kerry in 2004...and then Obama in 2008. Other elections/primaries....again I've always voted democrat. I guess my question is...Rick Scott for example...It's my opinion that he is a criminal, and yet the American People voted for him to be our next governor. Most political figures said that because the President has such low approval ratings, that it rubbed off on some of the senate and Governor races that people went out and voted Republican just to shift the power. So is this how the American voice is being heard right now? Just voting for a different party, and trying to change the shift in power elsewhere? How is that ever going to unite us? If every 2-4 years we have a shift in power?

  2. Jess my dear sweet friend. I truly feel crazy when I hear political talk going on. Its a mix between the confusion, corruption, lies, misunderstandings, and sheepish minds of the average American that drives me mad. I also must admit that there is a hint narcissism in me that feels like "I'm right"... and it takes everything in me not to write a ten page dissertation on the two parties... how the history of parties has played out in the untied states, and most importantly how it is effecting the current state of our Republic. I have never Blogged before but I get the feeling this should be in discussion form no matter how much I want to lecture. (YOU MUST FORGIVE ME IF I EVER SOUND THAT WAY... I DO FEEL PASSIONATE ABOUT MUCH OF WHAT WE WILL TALK ABOUT)...

I guess if I had to be broad about the "parties" I believe that there is no difference in them. Despite the fact that our news media "presents" you only two sides. You made a good point about wanting out of the war ect...(I mean are not the liberal democrats the ones who hate war, love the average man... and those evil rich white republicans well... they are the ones clinging to their guns and God, right?) But take note Both sides.... your federal government as a hole has keep us in war. (We have not declared war on a country since JAPAN. Congress per THE LAW, THE CONSTITUTION can not go to war without a declaration of war.). Think about that... seriously. Korea (50,000 dead) it was a political skirmish. Vietnam (50,000 dead) political skirmish. In that instance they actually denied that we were even in certain parts of the area fighting. I believe your father in law can attest to that. They gave them "dead rounds" at some points and our troops couldn't fight... the basis for that war was a lie, and proved to be one... Kinda like "weapons of mass destruction." This is all sounding familiar. We were in Bosnia, Kuwait, and now... we are in Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Yemen. (Wait I thought we were going to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq and then get out... oh now we are bringing them democracy... But the true terrorist are in Afghanistan, wait now lets bomb a wedding party in Pakistan... and now lets bomb some sites in Yemen. FYI (our friends from WIKILEAKS have let us know that we were bombing Yemen a few months before the Christmas Day Bomber). Yemen??!?! why does this guy from Yemen hate America?!?!?! I guess they just hate us because we are free... And portrayed as a Christian Nation. (are you sensing my sarcasm)

I do not believe there is a difference in the parties. They debate to what extent they will trample our liberties, how much of our money they will take, and were to overspend it, and not whether to go to war but were to wage war.

Your point on getting out of the war was may fav. You do know that the Constitution (that thing that they all swear to protect and uphold) does not let congress go to war without a "declaration of war".

We have not declared war on a country since JAPAN!!!

Korea (50,000 DEAD) = political skirmish
Vietnam (50,000 DEAD) = political skirmish. You father-in-law can attest... they denied they were even in Lao, and the premise of that war was a lie, and proven to be so. WHY WERE WE THERE....They were even given dead rounds at some points (fake freaking bullets) our government has done this to our boys.
    Bosnia
    Kuwaiti
and now Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Yemen. (but wait, I thought we were going to get the weapons of mass destruction( I bought into it..i mean thats what all the news said... NO, we are bringing democracy, oh but the real terrorist are in Afghanistan, so lets bomb a wedding reception in Pakistan, and Yemen.

Wikileaks has let us know that we were bombing Yemen months before the Christmas day Bomber last year. And we all wondered why this guy from Yemen came out of nowhere (I guess he hates us cause we are free, and christian right.... Bullshit)

We blow up towns and then contract American and non American companies to rebuild them.... HALIBURTON!!! Big money. There is big money in war. If you think a DEM in front of someones name will change the game... you are very mistaken.

The really good thing is when you declare war on an idea like terrorism...and you shred The Constitution you can wage war anywhere...and continuously. But don't just come home...that's unpatriotic, and don't you dare say you disagree... because then your not supporting your troops.

But please , stay distracted by what they present, and what they call the will of the people. The fact is that if Rep and Dem are all there is, then the "will of the people" is split 50/50. As long as you bicker about how much of your money they take, to what extent they trample your liberty, were they fraud your wealth, weather they spend it on wall street or the inner city... as long as your are distracted the war will be continuous.

Parties are empty vessels Jess. This means they will fill themselves with whatever they think will retain power. I however have made the mental switch were I see the entire federal government as the empty vessel. If you bicker about HOW to wage the war, or WHO should wage the war, or HOW LONG to wage the war... you have one common thing. WAR

If you bicker about how much of your money they take or whom they should take more from the fact is they will just TAKE.... Stand up and say....NO!

If you dont want war you have to be willing to say... we are not going to give money to Palestine or Israel, we are not going to run to south Korea, we are not going to invade countries and blow up civilians because some crazies made the towers come down. You have to be willing to bring all our troops home, and leave some counties to themselves...

I would love to be a shining example of peace and prosperity... but instead we are an agitator, and its dividing us.

  6. 3rd installment to Danny's Email :)

Now you already know I'm a RON PAUL fanatic... but isn't it a little funny to see all of our government, and news media debating the intricacy of WAR while only a few are truly are saying NO WAR, COME HOME. If you really don't want war...if you think its immoral to drop a bomb on a wedding reception and deny it... I would start looking somewhere other than the republicans and democrats.

Do you really think Rick Scott is criminal or did you "hear" about the fraud ... was that presented to you?

Did you skip over the Banking abuse of Mrs. Synk?

Do you really want universal health care or did you "hear" that's the only way to fix cost? And you know the feeling and scope of those cost...

Why do you have a Democrat lean? ( you should analyze that... or at least be free enough to ask the question.) Do you really believe in the Platform of the Dems... or is just the side you have been sold to. Do you have a personal experience that leans you? Family? What?

I can tell you that my Republican lean (in ignorance) was because of my faith. I associated Republicans with Christianity.(this is one of those "sheepish" mentalities) I have sense fallen far from that, and even farther from the democrats.

I have come to believe that there is a unifying theme for America. "Liberty" (Few are on board, mostly because few know how much has been taken from them)

Unfortunately the REP and DEMs are both stealing it, and have been for a long time.

WAR on Drugs (there will always be drug abuse)
WAR on Poverty (there will always be the poor)
WAR on Terrorism (there will always be terrorism... but this war truly involves fighting and death, and gets to go on forever)
