One voice can change a room, and if one voice can change a room, then it can change a city, and if one voice can change a city, it can change a state, and if it can change a state, it can change a nation, and if it can change a nation, it can change the world. Your voice can change the world. Barack Obama. -- That is what I want from America's voice. Be that voice and be heard.

Lambert for President the Drive for America's Heart
Today I am announcing my intention to run for the office of President of the United States. This is a grassroots campaign that will count on the pennies I can extract from the coffers of the few dozen people that will support me. I can't match Donal Trumps 600 million dollars that he said he will pour into his campaign, but I am willing to start things off with $6.00 of my own money. My slogan is simple, "A chicken in every pot and a car in every garage." I know this was used before but FDR found a great deal of success with this and maybe I can get a few more miles out of it. I want you to ask what you can do for your big business, that is struggling on a few billion dollars a year and it's CEO's that are squeaking by on several million dollars a year. We should have a fund set up to give them some relief from the mountain of taxes they are paying. If each person in this country would bypass a meal every week and donate it to your nearest bank, imagine how much profit they could make. This would enable them to hire more people at below living wages and provide more billionaire's with a new mansion. If we would all be willing to give up our medical care, we could realize the dream of cutting costs for health care in this country. We could turn back the average life expectancy to 45. This would eliminate the need for social security, since we would all be dead by the time we retire. I propose we eliminate education all together. The money we save could go to pay the salaries of our Congress. We won't need education because the available, menial jobs would only be taking care of the wealthiest 1% of the country. Making a few sacrifices now would ensure the continued shift of the entire wealth of America into the hands of the only people that matter, the wealthy. Yeah I know, most of you are aware that today is April fools day and by now you realize I am only kidding. Somewhere I am sure a very rich person was getting extremely excited about my philosophy. Hate to break your heart, but I am going to fight to keep this from happening, because in my opinion the only fools, on this day, are the politicians who continue to ignore the American Voice.

The American Dream
There are times that I become discouraged by the lack of America's focus and desire to change, then I read something that restores my faith in the people of this country. Yesterday Xavier University released its American Dream Survey results and guess what. Americans are very intelligent and have insight into where our problems originate. The survey found that 83% distrust our political process. Big Business distrust is 79%. Government is 78%, and the media is 72%. They also say that our most serious problem is Jobs/Unemployment 43%, while government spending and debt are 8% and 5% respectively. These are not just a bunch of numbers. Look at what people are saying. We do not trust our politicians to do what is in the best interest of the American people. We do not trust big business, the people that put us in the position we are in now with their greed. We distrust our government to do what is fair and correct. Finally we do not trust the media to give us the correct information to help us make decisions when we elect our leaders. The constant voices that we hear are that Americans are concerned with the debt and spending. Not true! We want jobs. Good paying jobs and yet the politicians are ignoring us and trying to advance their social agendas, while they turn a deaf ear to what we want. We know what is wrong and I believe we have a better sense on how to fix the problems we face. All the politicians have to do is listen, get out of our way and then follow us.

Quote from Jesus Christ
"For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life." What does this have to do with a political/social blog? Everything! The world we live in today is very much like the world Jesus lived in his time. People are cruel. People are greedy. People are self-absorbed. All around us there is pain and suffering and yet what to we do to relieve any of it? We only care about the area, that immediately surrounds us. If we are doing fine we ignore the plight of those that need us. Right now, our Congress is debating the budget and how to cut the deficit. The problem is that the people who are going to be hurt the most are those that can least afford it. We slash an elderly lady's heating fuel subsidy and allow the subsidies for the giant oil companies to remain in place. During the next winter if you hear about grandma, who dies of exposure, because she cannot afford both food and heat, place the blame on yourself. You look away now, because it does not concern you. "What you do for the least of these, you do for me." Another quote from Jesus. Helping others is the same as helping Jesus. In his day everyone stood by, as he was crucified and did nothing. They did not speak up as the persecution of Christ unfolded in front of them. Today the persecution of the poor, homeless, uninsured and unemployed is the battle front and yet we still turn away. It is too hard. We are too busy. We will not make a difference. What good will it do? I am not sure how much we can change immediately, but I do know that if we do nothing we will have condemned that frail poor grandmother, as easily as we did when we turned our backs while Jesus was nailed to that cross, so many centuries ago.

Hey Republicans, where are the jobs?
When the Republicans ran for office last year all we heard was, creating jobs and lower taxes. So far they have been a complete failure at both, unless you happen to be rich. The Republicans have used their new found majorities in federal and state houses to push their social agenda and tax relief for the ultra rich and corporations. They have pushed at every level to break unions and villainize the American middle class worker. Right now there is legislation in at least twelve states to limit or destroy collective bargaining for unions. Here in my own state, Florida, they are trying to make it illegal for the state to collect union dues from paychecks and keep the unions from using funds to contribute to political groups. The majority of funds from unions go to Democrats and the Republicans are trying to stop this. After last years Supreme Court decision, that allows corporate contributions, that go primarily to Republicans, that are basically unchecked and with out stock holder approval, the Republicans will have a hugh advantage in campaign funds. They will make unions get approval to spend money on campaigns. Corporations do not have to get approval. This is all about politics. In several states they are pushing moral issues, such as abortion and birth control, to reflect a small minority's view. The Republicans campaign on getting government out of your lives and yet they want to determine a women's right to choose. They campaign on de-regulation and yet the only thing they make easier is the way corporation and Wall St. steal from us. They campaign on lower taxes and yet they continue to only make a difference for the very rich. They campaign on reducing the deficit and yet they take money from education and the poorest people and do nothing to limit the hugh tax credits for corporations that are costing us hundreds of billions of dollars. They campaign on job creation and they have not done one thing to create jobs for middle America. They allow the same companies that stole billions of dollars from us to continue unchecked, while they rake in record profits. When are the American people going to wake up and take control. I am starting to fear that they won't until it is too late. They are amused with U-Tube, Face Book, Twitter and the myriad of other social media. This is like a David Copperfield show, the elite keep us all occupied in the direction of entertainment, while they continue to plunder and destroy the Middle Class. They are succeeding and we are letting them do it. Welcome to the new world order.

Kiss your children goodbye, now. They are being prepared to die in wars.
When we started our two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan ten plus years ago, the young men and women, who are serving now were only 7 or 8 years old. When their parents tucked them in bed at night do you think they were thinking about the future soldiers that lay safely in their beds? When you tuck your child in bed tonight I want you to think of the thousands of American parents who no longer can kiss their children on the head and whisper, "I love you", because they were taken in action on a battlefield far from home and the security of their bed. Usually as a soldier lay dying, they are thinking of their families and even call out, in vain, for them. Think of how much the parents, would have given up, to be there to comfort their child to hold their heads in their hands, to kiss their foreheads one last time, as they took their last breath on that dirt covered road. They will never have that chance. You may never have that chance. That small child that you love so deeply is going to be the next child, in a ditch so far away from home because, YOU, did not care enough to stand up and stop the wars. You did not feel it would affect you. Wars, happen and there are times that we have to stand for something bigger and more enduring then ourselves. This is not the time. Today show your children that you love them above all else. Send this to everyone you know and implore them to send it on to everyone they know. We have to pressure our leaders to stop the wars and stop getting involved in more wars. We have to look at our children and decide that they will not join the growing list of children dieing alone, without us. Think of yourself standing at your door as a millitary officer hands you that letter that starts, "We regret to inform you". Millions of parents around our country have recieved this letter. I don't want you, or me to be the next.

Teacher's pay, really doesn't matter to Rick Scott
I am trying to understand Florida's new governor, Rick Scott. This past week he was successful in pushing legislation that will change the way teachers are paid in Florida. How many teachers were involved in this process? I am not talking about some paid shills he may have at his disposal. I want to know how many, in the classroom, walking, talking, in front of students teachers that helped draw the new law. How many of these same teachers appeared before the committee that recommended the new pay structure to the state representatives? Another question I have is how they are going to pay the excellent teachers the additional pay if, and Scott's "people" said this, the money is not there to meet the pay structure they are talking about. I am also curious where the money is coming from to pay for the start up of the tests and evaluation system that they have mandated in the new law. We have 800 million as part of the federal funds for, Race to the Top, but according to our illustrious governor the start up funds needed are 1 billion dollars. Now just for clarification, this is the same governor that said we should not have a rapid rail system that would put 23 thousand people to work just to build it, because there were no guarantees that the ridership would support the train and we did not have the money for cost overruns. A side note the companies that were bidding on the job to build the trains said they would cover the cost overruns and any shortfalls in operating costs for 20 years. Scott's response was, what would we do if the companies walked away. Let me see if I understand this, we don't have the money to create 23 thousand jobs even with guarantees, and we don't have the money to start a teachers pay system, that no teachers were involved in. The one that will cost us money we will do and the one that won't cost us money we won't do. Did you follow that? I hope I did. It seems to me that what we have here is a continuation of the policies, being foisted on the American people in other state such as Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio and they are showing up in Florida. Bust the unions anyway possible. Each Republican controlled Governor and State Legislatures are openly declaring war on the Middle Class. Each state has tried to make teachers and public workers the problem. Each state is then working to cut corporate tax rates and giving the usual BULLSHIT line that this will create new jobs. We need to support our teachers and all public workers. If you don't think this will affect you, you are wrong. Everything the unions have won for these people have helped all of us. They are trying to take from them now. Your job and pay is next. Don't fight just for yourself fight for all middle class America. We all must stand!

Sarah Palin, Fools Rush in When Others Dare Not.
Alright, how could I start any talk about Republican hopefuls for 2012 without Sarah Palin going first. Not that I feel she is the top candidate, but she surely is the one that can create the most feelings, either positive or negative. Ms. Palin's claim to fame besides the unsuccessful run for Vice-President is that she is the half term governor of Alaska. She cited the need to help the people of Alaska as the reason she left after only completing two years of her four year term. She helped in one way. She saved them from two more years of embarrassment. Since then she has made millions of dollars by writing books. I wonder if she read them? Sorry I was asking a, "gotcha" question there. She has made more money by being, "Fair", on FOX news. She has also been a TV star. All this to help the people of Alaska. Just be honest. I have no problem with her making a gazillion dollars, but please be honest with your reasons behind leaving the governor's job. Thinking about a President Palin, sorry those two words, president and Palin just don't seem to go together very well, and her first press conference is quite comical. Asked which magazines she reads, now she is ready for the question, her response is Hunters Illustrated and Field N Stream. She feels this helps her to keep the gun lobbyist in her corner. Asked about how she would create jobs she winks at the camera and says, "Let me get back to you about that one." Asked about the current situation in the Middle East and whether she supports Democracy there, she responds, "You betcha, us hockey Moms are all for that." The final question is about the Canadian Prime Minister's lack of support for trade agreements, she then stomps away from the podium, muttering something like, "I quit, I'm going back to Fox, beside it will be better for the American people."
