Police Violence Has to be Halted!

Looking back just a couple of months ago, in Wisconsin and other places around the country, many of the same people, that are involved with the Occupy Wall Street movement were standing up and fighting for the same police officers that are now attacking American citizens. Why are these police officers now involved with bullying and strong armed tactics against citizens that are exercising their Constitutional and God given right to peacefully assemble and speak out against the tyrannical corporate elite that are controlling our country? I am sure they are following orders given to them by their superiors and they are following them blindly. This was not acceptable for our soldiers, to use the excuse, they were following orders and this was when they were faced with combat situations.

The police are being utilized as the enforcers for the corrupt elite and politicians that are not willing to, or are not intelligent enough to realize, that the current system is rigged and they want to continue to pull the strings. The police have to start reacting as people, as American citizens and not paid thugs. We have to demand that the police stop the military attacks on Americans. They have to enforce the law, however, they also have to use compassion and intelligence in their dealings with the majority of protesters. When they encounter the extremes, they should, as quietly as possible, move in make the arrest and then move back out. They have to consider the safety of the public they are surrounding and violating civil rights.

I am not some wide eyed radical. I for the most part support the police, that are sometimes placed in very difficult situations and then criticized  for their every move. Far too long minorities have endured the brutality of police departments and now we are starting to see the trend increase against more and more citizens. The time for the police to stand with the protesters instead of against them is now. What do we have to do to demonstrate in our own country. In Libya when they started attacking the people, America and NATO allies came together to protect the innocent. Are we now to the point where we invite NATO planes to protect U.S. citizens? I, for one, hope not.
